$10 MEMBERSHIP FEE REQUIRED FOR ALL EXHIBITORS – PAYABLE AT ENTRANCE GATE

RULES:

1. Entries to be received by August 26th at the latest

2. Sheep to remain on the grounds until 4 pm Saturday

3. Exhibitor will not be allowed to show more than 2 entries per class

4. Sheep should be healthy, clean and fitted according to standard.

5. Any sheep showing signs of disease or sickness will be removed from the premises and disqualified

6. All registered animals must be properly tattooed

7. No hats or caps allowed while showing.

8. All sheep are required to have RFID or CSIP tags

ALL BREEDS SPECIALS – 1st $50, 2nd $35, 3rd $20

5 – Get of Sire - A group of three animals from the same sire, both sexes represented. All three animals must have been shown in previous classes.

6 – Breeder’s flock – Bred and owned by exhibitor. A group of 4 animals, both sexes represented. Each animal in the group must have been shown in previous classes. All animals in the group must be of one breed.

RULES:

1. A health check inspection will take place as the animals arrive. Any animal arriving after 10:00 a.m. will not be allowed on the grounds.

2. There is no limit to the number of classes entered or animals per class.

3. $10 MEMBERSHIP FEE REQUIRED BY ALL EXHIBITORS – PAYABLE AT THE GATE

4. PRIZES: 1st – $30.00, 2nd – $24.00, 3rd – $18.00, 4th – $15.00, 5th – $14.00

5. If fewer than 3 Exhibitors in any one breed, prizes will be limited to 2 prizes per Exhibitor per class.

6. Time of Stay: Be in position by 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 14th, 2024

7. Judging will be by a representative selected by ODGS.

8. All purebred goats must be registered in the Canadian Goat Society or its American or British counterpart and must be tattooed.

9. Proof of registration must be available.

10. American, British, Canadian and Purebred may show in the same class.

11. Milkers must be milked dry within 12 hours before judging commences. Goats with a hard udder may be disqualified at the discretion of the Judge.

12. Kids under 3 months of age are not eligible for show.

13. No goat may be shown in more than one class except for a Championship or Special Class. Goats shown in Special Classes must have been shown in their regular classes.

15.This show is sanctioned by the Canadian Goat Society.

3. Yearling Doe – Over 1 year, but under 2 years that has never born a kid

4. Milking Doe – 1 year

5. Milking Doe – 2 year

6. Milking Doe – 3 year

7. Milking Doe – 4 and older

8. Junior Champion – Each 1st place winner of each breed – Ribbon Only

9. Senior Champion - Ribbon Only

10. Reserve Senior Champion - Ribbon Only

11. Best in Show – Senior Champion of Each Breed - Ribbon Only

12. Dairy Herd – 1 Dry, 3 in Milk - Ribbon Only
